Encaustic tiles and nolla
The art of encaustic cement tiles was born in Europe in the late 19th century, decorating the floor of the palaces in St. Petersburg, Gaudi’s style houses in Barcelona, building entrances in Paris and Saigon. Nolla is a type of ceramic stoneware tile of various design and sizes: diamond, triangular, square or rectangular.
The microcement is a cement coating color 1 or 2 mm thick. It can be applied over existing coatings as ceramics, mosaics, marble and tile.
